Textural Bohemian Fall Wedding at Pittsburgh Botanic Garden

When it comes to Fall weddings, we’re pretty obsessed. Which is good considering September through November holds some of our busiest weekends! So many weddings happen in the Fall and with the colorful changing leaves & cozy chilly weather, we can understand why couples think this season is the most romantic!

We’ve done many different styles of Autumn weddings over the years, but Caelin & Josh’s November day is one that really stands out. They wanted a bohemian wedding with lots of style and elegance, with seasonal flowers and greenery and some unexpected and nontraditional twists. Some fun details like flowers in the brides hair, textural hoop wreaths for the bridesmaids to carry, deep velvet accents, dried feathers and grass, and autumnal branches and flowers throughout brought their unique vision to life!

We loved their adventurous approach to flowers and they did not shy away from using funky textures and a bold color palette. The juxtaposition of the soft fluffy blooms of the ranunculus paired with the spiky, prickly textures of thistle was so interesting and fun, just like the couple themselves! The addition of the dusty blue color was such a fun accent to the classic fall colors, and we couldn’t get enough of the bridal party’s luxe blue velvet outfits. A few blue bottle vases filled with flowers, blue taper candles, and coordinating napkins ensured that beautiful color was carried through the entire day. And what a day it was!!
