How To Make A Eucalyptus Shower Bundle
Eucalyptus finds its way into our flower cooler pretty regularly. In fact, at any given time you can walk into the flower cottage and get the subtle scent of eucalyptus. Its aromatics are just one of the reasons we love using it in our floral designs. What better way to infuse a sense of calm for our clients than by adding a touch of eucalyptus to their arrangements?
While we utilize various eucalyptus varieties in our floral designs, the baby blue eucalyptus stands out as the most fragrant and long-lasting choice for creating a eucalyptus shower bundle.
If you're craving a bit of refreshment and rejuvenation, especially in these chilly winter months, why not try making your own eucalyptus shower bundle? The delightful scent not only brings tranquility but also revitalizes, offering various health benefits like easing cold symptoms, clearing sinuses, and promoting relaxation. This easy and effective DIY project is a fantastic way to lift your spirits during the colder seasons—and if you're in Pittsburgh, we bet you could use a pick-me-up right about now!
We’re going to guide you through this uncomplicated process that costs less than $10 and gives you a beautiful, invigorating, and long-lasting gift for yourself or a friend!
Supplies
-clippers or scissors
-ribbon of any kind, just stay away from any dyed ribbon that could cause a color bleed into your shower
-5-10 stems of baby blue eucalyptus (Trader Joe’s has a pretty steady stock! $5 a bundle!)
steps
We’re telling you, this couldn’t be easier! In 3 easy steps you will have a refreshing bundle of eucalyptus ready to turn your next shower into a spa experience.
Start by laying the longest stems on your workspace. Begin layering the shorter, bushier pieces on top. Don’t worry too much about placement, the bundle will look different once it’s hanging from ribbon!
2. Get a long piece of ribbon, a good 24-30” long. Find the middle of the ribbon and wrap it around the ends of your eucalyptus a few times and tie with a knot. You’ll be left with 2 long tails.
3. Lastly, we’re going to make the loop by simply tying a bow with the two tails so your bundle can hang. Consider the size of your shower head when deciding where to tie off your bow!
That is it!! This bundle will stay fresh and fragrant in the shower for weeks. When you feel like you’re losing fragrance, you can add a couple drops of essential oils to the leaves if you have it. Creating a eucalyptus shower bundle is genuinely one of the simplest and most affordable ways to pamper yourself.
