Bridal Shower Season is Here!

Nowadays, weddings are happening all year round. But once the Summer months hit it feels like shower season really kicks up! Every week at The Flower Cottage we’re preparing the space for another shower or touring our future rental clients around discussing all the possibilities for their upcoming event! We thought we’d round up a few of our favorite, fuss-free shower themes that are perfect for a more intimate soiree! If you’re planning a shower in any season this post is for you!

A DARLING Picnic

Perfect for the laid-back bride who’s looking for a more casual vibe. Keep the decor simple and cozy—think blankets & pillows in colorful textiles. Choose wildflowers in mason jars to feel like you're picnicking in the middle of a flower field. The food can be just as laid back with personalized boxed lunches tied in twine. Bonus is you can prep these far in advance and it makes clean up fast and easy! Complete the place settings with bright bottled drinks, paper straws & checkered napkins. After lunching and playing a few shower games raffle off cute wicker baskets filled with everything you’d need for a picnic: goodies like wine, outdoor wine glasses, a cute blanket and delicious local meats and cheeses!

a VINTAGE Tea Party

If you find yourself scouring thrift store for vintage finds, you could have a lot of fun collecting pieces for this theme. You can make this as classy and elegant as the bride desires! Start with a tablescape of pastel linens, antique china and teapots filled with roses and trailing ivy. Fill around your decor pieces with tiered trays of tea sandwiches, mini pastries, small pies and cakes. At each place setting each guest will find their own vintage teacup and saucer filled with assorted teas and honey dipped spoons. The perfect accessory for this afternoon tea and a lovely favor to bring home!

This theme can really take on your bride’s personality! Think fun, punchy colors or subdued earthy tones.
