Infuse your Home with Citrus this Holiday Season

Tis the season for citrus! If you have extra fruits laying around the house and are a last minute decorator (nothing wrong with that!) we got you! Scroll down to see some of our best ideas to incorporate the fresh scents of citrus into your holiday decor. Leave a comment below if you try any of these ideas this holiday season!

Clove Orange pomander balls

When it comes to these traditional clove and orange pomander balls, the designs you can create are endless and the scent is intoxicating.

All you need is fresh oranges, whole cloves and your favorite ribbon (if you plan to hang them)! Simply poke the whole clove into the orange peel and see your design come to life. Remember to keep at least 1/8” in between each hole if you want the cloves to be right next to each other. If your fingers start to hurt try using a toothpick or cocktail stirrer to pre-poke each hole!

Hang these from your tree, tuck them into your mantle garland or display them in a bowl on your coffee or dining table!

Holiday Spritz

1 oz vanilla liquor

1oz orange or blood orange juice

Champagne or Prosecco

We'll be sipping on this Holiday Spritz all Christmas! Don’t forget, orange slices are a beautiful garnish to float in a coupe champagne glass!

Citrus charcuterie

You can incorporate citrus into your charcuterie easily with an orange marmalade to spread over crusty sliced baguette, a citrus infused cheese wedge (check Trader Joe's!) or a few clove-embellished oranges for the added fragrance and decorative touch. We love tucking dried orange slices or fresh wedges into our cheese boards too!
