Timeless Spring Elegance: A Carnegie Museum Wedding in the Hall of Sculpture
There is something undeniably magical about a spring wedding, especially when it is held in a space as timeless and elegant as the Hall of Sculpture at the Carnegie Museum! Monika & Albi’s wedding showcased how a streamlined design can let breathtaking architecture and thoughtfully curated florals truly shine.
The color palette for the day featured soft spring hues of peach, pink, and cream. These colors were the perfect complement to the Hall of Sculpture’s neutral tones and classical design. The florals included a mix of garden roses, tulips, ranunculus, jasmine vine, spirea, lisianthus, and orlaya, lending a romantic yet fresh feel to the entire event. Monika's bouquet was an absolute standout, embodying the very essence of spring with the warm hues, delicate textures and lush, whimsical form!
Monika and Albi exchanged vows on the grand staircase, flanked by two beautiful urn arrangements overflowing with lush spring blooms. The simplicity of the ceremony setup allowed the staircase to shine, creating an unforgettable backdrop for such an important moment. It was a perfect example of how less can indeed be more, especially in a space that is already so grand.
For the reception, the couple opted for long tables adorned with low-profile centerpieces. This choice not only kept the overall design clean and elegant but also allowed guests to fully appreciate the museum’s magnificent architecture! The low centerpieces were designed to echo the soft color palette and included an artful mix of the season’s finest blooms. This minimalist approach ensured that the florals enhanced rather than overwhelmed the space, striking the perfect balance between design and decor.
This wedding was a testament to the idea that things don’t have to be over-the-top to be stunning. By embracing simplicity and letting the Hall of Sculpture’s beauty speak for itself, the couple created an event that was both timeless and uniquely theirs. We especially loved to see Monika and Albi’s personalities infused into the day with a sugar version of their pup peaking through the cake tiers and the disco ball installation setting the tone for a fun celebration!
Whether you’re planning a wedding in an iconic venue or a more intimate space, this celebration is proof that thoughtful design choices can create an event that feels effortless yet extraordinary!
