One of the most common questions we get is: When should I book my wedding florist? With inquiries coming in earlier and earlier, it can feel like a race to lock in your vendors. The truth is, there’s no perfect timeline. We’ve worked with couples as close as three months before their wedding and as far as 18 months out. While we recommend reaching out early to secure your date (especially if your wedding is during peak season), the most important thing is to feel ready.

Before You Book Your Florist
To make the most of your consultation and our time together, it’s best to have the following in place before you reach out:
Your Wedding Date – Knowing the exact date is crucial because it allows us to confirm our availability and determine what flowers will be in season.
Your Venue – Your venue’s style, layout, and lighting play a huge role in designing your florals. Whether it’s a rustic barn, a sleek ballroom, or an outdoor garden, this detail sets the stage for your overall aesthetic.
Attire for You and Your Attendants – While you don’t need every detail finalized, having an idea of your color palette and the style of your bridal party’s attire (or at least the direction you’re leaning) will help us design florals that complement and enhance the look of your day.

While we love talking about ideas and dreaming with you, starting too soon could lead to multiple consultations and revisions, which might leave you feeling overwhelmed.
By waiting until you have some of the key pieces in place—your date, venue, and general color palette—you’ll feel more confident diving into the floral design process. Plus, having a clearer vision helps us work together efficiently, making the experience enjoyable and exciting!
