Hello 2024

Wow! 2024, we have arrived. As we reflect on the past season and the year ahead, we’d love to share with you all that we’re looking forward to in the new year! Instead of sharing traditional goals or resolutions, we are compelled to share our intentions for the year.

Wedding Flowers

More beautiful wedding flowers (our bread and butter)! We are so proud of our team for achieving our biggest season to date in 2023. Looking ahead, we envision all the dreamy floral designs this season will bring. We’re providing flowers for romantic, garden inspired, classic and unique weddings in Pittsburgh with some events leading us to venues in Ohio and West Virginia! Expect to see a vibrant spectrum of colors from whites and neutrals to a dark and moody, and everything in between. We can’t wait to take you along!

Cottage events

We hosted over 50 events at the cottage in 2023!! Thank you so much for choosing our space; we take immense joy in hosting your special events. Our intimate venue has been a space for baby showers, bridal showers, elopements and soo much more. We were thrilled to welcome Micah Made Cookies, who hosted several cookie decorating classes with us (check her upcoming class schedule here). If you are a small business owner, maker, photographer, artisan, educator looking for somewhere to host your own workshop or event, we have a special offer for you! Please send us an email at hello@sapphireandlacedesign.com for more information!

FLOWER WORKSHOPS

All of our favorite workshops are coming back this year, and we’re so excited to add our beloved Mother’s Day workshop back to the lineup! You can find the full list of our flower workshops and purchase tickets here. This year we’ll be offering more opportunities to learn about flowers with us at the cottage and online. Stay tuned for some exciting announcements!

MORE Dahlias

After a rocky first year with our cutting garden (critter problems!), we decided to go all-in on one type of flower—one of our favorites, dahlias. A proper recap of all the garden magic to come! To hold you over, here is one of our favorite new varieties from this past season, Coralie.
